Right now, on NBA TV, they're showing Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. Spurs vs. Mavs. Spurs up 3 - 2 in the series.

Damn the Spurs.

If Dirk wasn't injured, Mavs would have won. Simple as that.

So, my bad wishes affected Tim Duncan with a sprained ankle. Tony Parker, you're next. Well, I need to do something about Ginobili. This one guy called me "Ginobili" because I was knocking down shots left and right. I don't like that. (On my better days, I like to be "T-Mac.")

So, cross off Duncan, next is Manu.

{Added on around 2:56PM}

I don't know why I watched. I knew it was going to make me mad. But I did analyze the meltdown, and this is what I saw. (Maybe I'm just a little biased...)

Finley had one turnover, followed by a missed shot, followed by another turnover, and then he did absolutely nothing on the defensive end. If it were me, I would have benched him. I hate you, Finley.

I hate you, Steve Kerr. I hate you more than any person who has ever played for the Spurs. You suck at being an announcer, too.

Manu is going for the shaggy Nash look now. Oh, and Mavs roll bigtime tonight. Sure they didn't have TD, but that doesn't excuse a 40 point blowout.

As for 2003, I was at game 6. It still makes me sick that we had it going into the 4th and then went cold as an ice cube and couldn't buy a basket. I think if we'd had Dirk we would have at least forced a game 7. I think this current lineup could beat the 2003 version though, which is the exciting part. I think a title in the next 5 years is very much a realistic wish.

I'm not sure why, but I seem to be having a rough time getting into Blogger with Mozilla or Internet Explorer. Firefox is working fine though. Hmm...

Good to see you back. Can't say if it's good or bad. I don't like him, but apparently my style reminds people of him.

I hate shaggy hair. I really do. And yea, I'm really happy with that game. Everyone did their part, and the Spurs just couldn't do anything. Sir Charles needs to realize that this Dallas team has some nice defense.

Yea, even though while I was watching I knew the Mavs were going to lose, it didn't stop me from punching the couch everytime Kerr or Stephen Jackson hit a 3. I like our future, but I also like our chances this year. Guess I should wait until I know what team gets what seed. Then I'll make my predictions.

The bottom line is as well as much improvement as the Mavs have shown on defense, they'll still be Allas in a lot of people's minds until they can prove it in the playoffs. I think we could beat Sac or Houston, but I like our chances against the Kings better. Plus, then all 3 Texas teams have a chance to advance to round 2. While I am tired of seeing the Spurs win all the time, I do like that the Midwest Division is where the real power is in the Western Conference and that it is not in Cali anymore.

And yet I always feel like even if the Mavs win a championship, announcers will still find something to make fun of about the Mavs.

You're right, I totally agree about Sac. I don't think they're getting out of the first round no matter what seed they get. I'm worried about Houston, but I think we have their number. I would love to see Houston - San Antonio in the second round, if Spurs fall in at 2nd and the Rockets fall to 6th. That would also mean a second round matchup of Dallas - Phoenix. Oooooohhhh...I like.
